Job Description Summary

Facilitates the purchase of materials, equipment, and services through requirements clarification, soliciting bids, evaluating quotations, and selecting suppliers for products and services that are above the bid threshold or not part of the global category-management sourcing process.

Job Description:

• Lead sourcing activities for new business awards and program launches.
• Support the execution of commodity and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects.
• Manage supplier negotiations related to pricing, capacity, commercial terms, and long-term agreements.
• Drive cash flow improvement initiatives and inventory reduction projects.
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses to support sourcing decisions.
• Manage RFQ processes, including quotation analysis, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Plant Buyers, and Program Purchasing teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audit compliance activities and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
• Present sourcing recommendations, business case analyses, and procurement strategies to key stakeholders

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Management.
• Proven experience managing the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiations, supplier management, and compliance.
• Experience within the automotive or home appliance industry is highly preferred.
• Experience purchasing:
  • Steel
  • Plastics
  • Chemicals
  • Indirect and miscellaneous materials

• Experience leading VA/VE initiatives and cost-saving projects.
• Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders across Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.
• Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies.
• English Level C1
