Job Description:

American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. (AAM) is seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our manufacturing facility, supporting production operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damage.
* Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
* Prepare and stage materials for production runs, ensuring that the correct components are available at the right time and location.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision immediately.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure efficient material flow and meet production targets.

Required Skills and Education

Prior experience (1-3 years) as a Material Handler in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.

Ability to operate forklift.

Basic computer skills.
