Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician will provide technical support to manufacturing operations, focusing on process improvement, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes.
* Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment and machinery.
* Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and support problem-solving initiatives.
* Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects.
* Create and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and recommend corrective actions.
* Collaborate with production teams to train operators on new processes and equipment.
* Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, including prototyping and process validation.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Job Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
* 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a metal powder or sintering industry.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Experience with data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Skills and Education
2+ years experience in a powdered metal environment is preferred.
