Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to operate and maintain warm form machinery to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications.Job Description:
- Set up, adjust, and operate forging press machines to produce metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machine setup and production requirements.
- Operating a forklift to load and unload materials into machines
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with press machinery.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Forklift experience
