Plant Helper (Blending)

Job Description Summary

Responsible for the safe operation and output of blended steel powder through computer operated mixing stations.

Job Description:

1.     Follow all company safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.

2.     Follow job specific Work Instructions which pertain to the job assignment.

3.     Prepare blending operation by checking customer specifications.

4.     Maintain records of production activities as required.

5.     Locate and transport processing materials between storage and process area.

6.     Check processing instructions, determine and locate proper container and skid needed.

7.     Record data on packaged and stored material.

8.     Maintain a safe, clean work area. 

9.     Notify supervision of material location discrepancies, need for supplies, abnormal conditions, etc. 

10.  Perform minor maintenance on fork truck, set up and operate scales, etc.

11.  Perform Packing Operator job functions.

Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel

Required Skills and Education

• High School diploma or GED. 
• 2-5 years of previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pass required Company training.
• Computer literacy and experience with Office Software is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice is required.
