Job Description Summary

As Senior Specialist - Global Learning and Development (m/w/d) you drive global technical and hourly workforce development across the Powder Metallurgy Business Unit. The role ensures effective training, skills management, development planning, and HR4 audit readiness while partnering with Plant HR and business leaders to build workforce capabilities and support continuous learning.

Job Description:

  • Lead the annual training needs analysis process across the Powder Metallurgy Business Unit, consolidating capability requirements and translating business needs into global learning priorities.

  • Partner with Plant HR, Operations leaders, and Subject Matter Experts to identify technical capability gaps and drive the implementation of targeted development solutions for hourly and technical populations.

  • Govern and coordinate technical and hourly workforce training programs globally, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, workforce capability requirements, and business strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific, regulatory, and internal training requirements through robust qualification management, competence tracking, and audit readiness practices.

  • Drive the deployment, standardization, and continuous enhancement of training frameworks, qualification matrices, and learning governance processes for hourly employees, technical specialists, and frontline supervisors.

  • Serve as the global business unit subject matter expert for Workday Learning, providing guidance on learning processes, system utilization, governance standards, and best practices to HR teams, managers, and trainers.

  • Monitor training compliance, workforce qualification status, and learning effectiveness through data analytics and reporting, providing actionable insights to HR and operational leadership.

  • Lead trainer capability initiatives, including train-the-trainer programs and communities of practice, to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality technical and operational training across all locations.

  • Promote the sharing of learning best practices, knowledge transfer, and capability-building initiatives across plants to strengthen organizational effectiveness and workforce readiness.

  • Drive continuous improvement of learning processes, tools, governance standards, and training effectiveness measures to enhance workforce capability and support business performance.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Learning & Development, Industrial or Business Psychology or a related field.
  • min 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Manufacturing Training, preferably in a regional or multi-site environment.
  • Experience designing and implementing training, competency, and capability development programs for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, OJT, competency management, and supervisor development.
  • Experience with LMS/HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and training reporting.
  • Strong project management and process standardization skills.
  • Ability to analyze training needs, develop capability plans, and manage skills matrices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, change management, and learning governance.
  • Fluent in English; additional regional language(s) are an advantage.
