Senior Process Development Specialist / CNC Machinist

Job Description Summary

Dauch is looking for a Senior Process Development Specialist / CNC Machinist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan! This individual will contribute to our Process Development / Prototype Machining Group within the Driveline organization.

Job Description:

The responsibilities of the Senior Process Development Specialist / CNC Machinist include Work Holding Design, Cutting Tool Selection, and CNC Program editing:

• Set up and operation of CNC machines.
• Tooling setup for process development and prototype machining programs.
• Machine and inspect prototype parts.
• Developing and implementing tooling / process test plans.
• Specify process for new programs or modify for existing programs.
• Editing and updating CNC programs for setup changes.
• Problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
• Provides technical support to manufacturing personnel.
• Works with product engineers in new product design.
• Provide support for other plant floor operations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Required

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of machine set up and operation experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed for product launches.
• Ability to interrupt part drawings/prints and produce parts that meet inspection requirements.

Preferred

• Automotive industry experience
