Job Description Summary

• Support the plant’s Financial Controlling activity, acting as a key business partner. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost control, profitability analysis and performance reporting and provide clear insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

• Work at the heart of the plant’s operations, collaborating closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and HR to identify improvement opportunities, enhance efficiency, and support sustainable growth. This position offers high visibility, broad responsibility and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the success of the site.

Job Description:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly plant performance reports, highlighting variances against budget, forecast, and prior-year results.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting, validating, and analyzing financial and operational data.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs, including labor, material, scrap, overhead, and inventory-related expenses, and identify trends or deviations.
  • Perform variance analyses to understand the drivers behind financial and operational performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track and report key plant KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, inventory, scrap, and cost performance indicators.
  • Support inventory management activities by analyzing inventory levels, inventory valuation, and stock movements to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies.
  • Partner with operational departments to improve cost transparency and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and business cases to support operational improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting quality, and operational performance.

Required Skills and Education

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, or a comparable finance role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing finance principles, including product costing, inventory valuation, and operational performance measurement
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and communicate findings in a clear and structured manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented and organized working style
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and other functions
  • Good understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting tools; experience with Oracle, HFM and/or business intelligence applications advantageous
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, including data analysis, reporting and financial modeling
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
