Monitor Quality Assurance practices & ensure timely Metallurgical Analysis and TestingEnsure timely clearance of Raw materials and finished parts.
Ensure timely Calibration of Laboratory Inspection & Testing Equipment’s.
Ensure Laboratory Inspection & Testing Equipment’s are in good condition.
Ensure timely feedback to customers related to external failures.
Ensure quality rating of raw material supplies as per the plan.
Metallurgical support to Supply chain team for approval and quality of metallurgical (HT / Induction hardening) vendors.
Support to RPPC team in analyzing New Parts Development.
Planning and indenting of Laboratory consumables and spares as per the needs.
Ensure Sintering & Steam Treatment quality.
Exercise control over raw material, mixes through BAAN as a shared responsibility.
Clearance of copper powder for production.
Job Description:
Develop and Manage Team
- Mapping of skills, competencies & preparation of skill / competency gap matrix.
- Develop and review Training Plans.
- Ensure goal setting and performance appraisals for all the team members.
- Exercise reward and punishment commensurate with performance.
- Career planning for key individuals and ensure development.
- Promote a culture of merit and fair treatment.
- Implement CI,LEAN & Team Building Culture.
- Periodic meetings and communication with employees, cordial Employee Relation.
Develop and Implementation of proper Systems and Processes.
- Maintain the Laboratory’s Quality System and promote continuous quality improvements.
- Carry out timely special processes Audits.
- Support to ramp-up of New Product Development.
- Conduct internal as well as external Audits at Vendors.
- Ensure execution of Lean & Business Excellence (BE) Guidelines.
- Implementation of IATF 16949, EMS-ISO14001 & OHSAS-18001 Systems.
- Conduct internal & external failure analysis of parts to reduce internal & External NRFT.
- Support development team for HT part development
Required Skills and Education
- Metallurgical Engineering Graduate.
- Experience in Metallurgical Manufacturing Processes. Powder Metallurgy experience is desirable.
- 5-8 years of experience out of which minimum 3-4 years’ experience of handling Metallurgical Laboratory Functions and Team.
- Hands on experience of all Metallurgical Testing are must.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems & EMS and OHSAS is mandatory.
