Job Description Summary

Gather and prepare materials and specimens for testing. Test materials with a variety of analytical equipment in order to determine metallurgical, metallographic, chemical or powder properties. Collect and report test results.

Gather and prepare materials and specimens for testing.

Test materials with a variety of analytical equipment in order to determine metallurgical, metallographic, chemical or powder properties.

Collect and report test results.

Maintain laboratory equipment.

Assist in analysis of new equipment or test procedures.

Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform other similar related duties as required.

Required Skills and Education

High school grad, GED -- Associates Degree preferred.

Strong mathematical and written skills.

Personal computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets are a plus.

Development of specific skills significant to specific position such as metallography, chemical technology, physical testing, etc. is necessary.

Team oriented.

Attention to detail.
