Job Description Summary

Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of import and export Annex 24/30 flows and procedures, to ensure compliance with all Government regulations and laws. Conduct training on Import / Export Compliance subjects for AAM Associates. Responsible for minimizing AAM exposure to legal liabilities and avoiding penalties and fines. Analyze costs and identify savings opportunities. Identify ways to automate Customs processes and create trade data visibility. Provide business planning advice for strategic business initiatives.

Job Description:

- Annex 24/30 database administrator and main contact point

    * To assure Database Integrity for all transactions and

    * Training in new database processes/automations

    * To implement new legal requirements/automations in the customs database

    *To implement DB standardization, if possible, between all legal entities

-Annex 24/30 reconstruction lead

- To audit import and export processes

   * To assure Database discharges "Backflush" Annex 24/30 integrity/ Ensure that the BOMs are updated with the BOMs registered on the ERP.

    * Catalogs (raw material, finish good and fixed asset)

 - To improve annex 24 process / Perform reconciliations between the IMMEX Inventory Control System open balances and the physical inventory registered in the ERP

- To review and compare customs balances vs physical inventory to achieve 100% receipt accuracy regarding the imports and 100% discounts regarding the exports

-To analyze the part numbers and their specs to assign the correct group, description, and HTS

-Sub maquila/R8 inventories administration support within the Data Base System

-Perform the presentation of monthly and annual reports and or notifications of changes to the Authority for different registries (IMMEX/PROSEC annual reports, VAT Certification backflushes, VAT Certification notifications).

- Participation in special projects aimed at ensuring proper compliance with the laws applicable in Mexico.

Required Skills and Education

  • International Business, Supply Chain Management bachelor’s degree or similar.
  • 7 to 10 years of work experience
  • Strong experience in Annex 24/30)
  • Mexican Regulatory Trade Compliance (SAT, Customs and Ministry of Economy).
  • Good problem-solving and auditing skills.
  • Leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Availability to travel 20%-30%.
  • Project management experience.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Programs: IMMEX, OEA, and VAT Certification systems (Annex 24 and 30, respectively).
  • Analytical and focused on results.
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team.
  • Knowledge in certifications of origin of products by international agreements.
