Job Description Summary

Ensure plant objectives and targets of CIMS, Sintering production & NRFT are met on time. Handle individual shift activity. Execution furnace wise production scheduling.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

Ensure timely achievement of plant’s production targets at optimum cost

  • Handle individual shift activity.
  • Execution furnace wise production scheduling.
  • Allocation & deployment of plant resources, like manpower, equipment etc.
  • Achieve of targeted output by optimum unitization of equipments. 
  • Daily monitoring of consumables like N2 & LPG & NH3, oil.

Ensure implementation of proper manufacturing practices and systems

  • Adherence to continual improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Carry out NRFT analysis and prepare action to mitigate the gaps.
  • Ensure the utilization of new equipment in the plant after installation.
  • Implementation & adherence to lean activities
  • Maintain & follow Management systems such as TS-16949, OHSAS & EMS.
  • Carry-out timely preventive maintenance of equipments.
  • Carry-out process validation & furnace temperature profiling as per plan.
  • Carry out NRFT analysis. Prepare and implement action plan to avoid recurrences.

Manage and Develop People

  • Maintain shop floor discipline.
  • Mapping of skill & Competency & preparation of skill / competency gap matrix.
  • Promote a culture of merit and fair treatment.
  • Periodic meetings and communication with employees, cordial Employee Relations.

Ensure safe working environment with proper discipline & good practices.

  • Ensure safe working environment.
  • Adherence to safety & environmental norms.
  • Carry-out Risk Assessment of the sintering furnaces & initiate actions accordingly.

Required Skills and Education

  • Must be an Engineering Graduate
  • Experience in Special process like sintering, heat-treatment is must.  PM experience is desirable.
  • 4-5 years of experience is production .
  • Experience of handling unionised labour
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949/ OHSAS is mandatory.
